Can We Live Without Beliefs?

Beliefs divide us. We couldn’t have seen this more clearly than during Corona times, when we split into two poles. And each pole defended theirs with their whole being. And we didn’t divide only then, we divide everywhere and over various nonsense. And this only because we blindly believe in some idea.

And this happens in society on all levels. Even if we think we are at a higher level of “spiritual” development, we hold onto beliefs. The very fact that we think we are at a higher level, isn’t that a belief?
In this way we automatically exclude everyone else whom we consider to be at a lower level. And for us they are automatically less valuable, even though we may not be aware of this.

How is it that we have within us this desire to be more valuable and more important? This is a characteristic of the Ego, or the Self. The Ego is the one that thinks it’s the best, the smartest and most valuable.

Were we programmed this way, and this throughout our whole life? Was the division created artificially so that someone could benefit from it?
Or is this a common thing in the world of duality, where every coin has two sides, and we have always clung to partial “non-truths”?

For division to occur, we must cling to one of the two sides of the coin or any belief. And even though the “outside world” or someone who benefits from it forces us into this, we always have the option to let go and accept the world as it is. In this way we allow ourselves to look at the world from different perspectives. This way we enable more energy to flow to us. So we can be more relaxed and closer to freedom.

However, can we just do this, can we abandon a belief that we hold onto with our whole being? Do we even want this? Do we want to let go of a belief that we hold dear to our heart?
