In my mind, by socializing I mean exchange. This doesn’t have to be verbal. It can also be non-verbal, without having to say anything.
Why are we so thirsty for socializing?
During socializing, an exchange of energy occurs. I give my energy to you, you give yours to me.
Your energy, which can be expressed through your words, your presence, your actions, your thoughts, awakens feelings in me. If I don’t like the feelings, I want to break the connection and go away. If I like the feelings, I want to maintain the connection.
We desire exchange so that with its help we would awaken beautiful feelings in us. And if these are inspiring, it’s simply wonderful. They give us drive for creating, they give us drive for discovering new or old things, they drive us forward into life, they awaken meaning in us and whisper to us that we are surrounded by beauty.
