The past doesn’t exist, only memories exist. And yet today we spend most of our time in our own head, which can be reflected in self-talk, in thoughts to which we devote attention and thus give them energy.
Thoughts attach to memories.
How many times do we wish we could change the past. This is of course not possible, because it doesn’t exist. Memories exist. And we occupy ourselves with them. We devote attention to them and thus give them energy.
Memories are only fragments of the past, which isn’t there. There is no life in them. Life is only now. Now, which is open, is limitless, is undefined.
When we give attention to memories, we are focused on small fragments that are dead, just pictures. We thus give energy to these pictures, which are dead. With this we animate them and they become more and more present in us. We preserve them when we cling to them. They become pictures and thus we lose energy.
Now is fresh, here is infinite potential, here is energy. We can perceive it when we tear attention away from memories and from thoughts that are born from them. And only here can we receive. And in now our energy “refreshes”. And only now do we live.
